Our team, which includes Kate Catalano, Michael Cornelio, Nick Mason, Nicole Thompson, Melissa Calderon, Sandy Burkett, Heidi Mulder and Betty Fisk has countless years of combined experience in the real estate industry. Independent contractors provide extra services allowing for constant coverage in all county registries, and our attorneys are happy to travel to a closing location of your choice. We utilize the latest technology for additional expediency and convenience and we keep up-to-date with recent developments in the industry, including the prevention of cyber crime.
Kate Catalano, Attorney, and Founder
Attorney Catalano has been practicing law since graduating from Boston University School of Law. She is also an alumna of Boston College. Prior to opening Cornerstone Title, Kate started her own general practice law firm, Catalano Law, concentrating in real estate law, estate planning and business law. Kate’s knowledge of real estate law and great attention to detail ensures that every transaction results in a smooth, efficient closing. Kate has a passion for entertaining which blends both her professional and personal lives. In the summer when not in the office, you may find her boating around the Isles of Shoals.

Nick Mason, Attorney
Nick graduated from Boston University School of Law in 2012 and has been working in real estate ever since. He focuses on title review and resolution, to ensure that buyers and sellers alike know that by the time they sit down at a closing, everything will go smoothly. His motto is “all’s well that closes well,” and he works every day to make that a reality. Outside of work, he is most likely to be playing a board game, or out on a disc golf course.
Nicole Thompson, Director of Operations
Nicole has a strong background in communication and writing with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Keene State College. Nicole is diligent in ensuring an effortless closing experience. She is extremely attentive and dedicated to each person she works with, providing prompt and friendly support to all parties. She is passionate about music, particularly heavy metal, and on the weekends you can often find her at a concert or camping. She also loves trying new recipes and tending to her wide variety of house plants.

Heidi Mulder, Transaction Coordinator
Heidi applies her years of experience in the restaurant and wine industries and attendant excellent customer service skills to every transaction she handles. Always ready to assist clients with a smile, you can count on her to recommend an excellent vintage if you’re looking for a bottle of wine as a closing gift for your borrowers, buyers, or sellers. Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her cavachon, Maddy, and you’ll often find them exploring the great outdoors on weekends.

Betty Fisk, Administrative Director
Betty has over 35 years of experience working at a law firm. Throughout the years Betty’s dedication for her clients has only grown. She provides unparalleled support not only to her clients, but to our team here at Cornerstone as well. Betty’s other passion is for exercise. She has been a life-long runner and biker, and spends her time teaching as a certified TRX instructor.
Sandy Burkett, Closing Agent
Sandy has a strong background in customer service and the legal world. Her careful review of documents yields outstanding results for clients. She loves spending time with her grandchildren and you can often find her at the playground with them.
